One year of Russian war in Ukraine

In a vote at noon, Parliament will take stock of the situation in Ukraine one year after the invasion. The draft text encourages EU member states to step up their military, support to Ukraine, including sending fighter jets, and calls for broader sanctions on Russia. At 9.45, the Press Service is organising a seminar with lead MEPs to discuss the EU’s actions in response to the war and the support measures to minimise its impact on the EU’s economy.

A new EU Ethics body and stringent measures against corruption

MEPs are expected to push, again, for the creation of an independent ethics body for the EU institutions, in a resolution to be voted on at noon. In the wake of revelations about suspicions of corruption in Parliament, they will vote on a second draft resolution urging for substantial reforms to better protect the House from attempts of malicious interference.
