Use of industrial data: MEPs to determine position on draft rules for fair access
Starting at 9.00, plenary will discuss with Commissioner Breton the proposal for an EU “Data Act” to boost innovation by removing barriers obstructing access to industrial data. The draft law would contribute to the creation of new services, in particular in artificial intelligence where huge amounts of data are needed to train algorithms. MEPs will adopt their negotiating mandate for talks with member states in a vote at noon. A press conference with rapporteur Pilar del Castillo (EPP, ES) and Commissioner Breton will take place at 17.00.
