EU ban on products causing deforestation anywhere in the world
Immediately after the plenary opening, MEPs will review a new law obliging companies to ensure that products from cattle, cocoa, coffee, palm-oil, soya, wood, rubber, charcoal and printed paper sold in the EU do not come from deforested land anywhere in the world. Plenary is expected to adopt an agreed text on Wednesday.
