Simplification of the EU carbon leakage instrument

In a vote at 11.00, plenary is expected to back changes to the EU’s carbon border adjustment mechanism (CBAM), which are intended to reduce the administrative burden for small businesses and occasional importers.

New tariffs for goods coming from Russia and Belarus

Also at 11.00, MEPs will vote on a proposal for a gradual increase of tariffs on fertilisers, as well as higher tariffs for some agricultural products imported from Russia and Belarus.
