Rule of law in Hungary
A debate on Hungary, with Commissioner Michael McGrath, is first on the plenary agenda, immediately after the opening at 17.00. A Civil Liberties Committee report highlights perennial concerns about the state of EU values in the country, including reports of judicial interference, corruption, the misuse of EU funds, and government pressure on civil society.
