Seeking to boost competitiveness and cut red tape, Parliament has reached a deal with EU member states on the final text of the “Omnibus I” directive on simplified sustainability reporting and due diligence rules for companies. The negotiations focused on reducing the pool of companies covered by the revised rules, easing sustainability reporting requirements and removing certain due diligence obligations.
