Tackling the gender pay and pension gaps
In a debate starting at around 20.00, MEPs and Commissioner Michael Mc Grath will discuss progress towards closing the EU’s gender pay and pension gaps. The draft text includes guidelines for the better evaluation and fairer remuneration of work in female-dominated sectors. Parliament’s vote on the report is scheduled for Wednesday. Plenary will mark International Women’s Day tomorrow at noon.
