Package travel

Following yesterday’s debate, MEPs will vote at noon on an update to the Package Travel Directive. Designed to clarify holidaymakers’ rights to assistance and compensation in cases of travel disruption, the new rules build on lessons learned during the pandemic and following several high-profile travel agency bankruptcies.

European Ombudsman

At 9.00, MEPs will debate the European Ombudsman’s 2024 annual report withTeresa Anjinho, who was sworn in as European Ombudsman in February 2025, and European Commissioner Wopke Hoekstra. The European Ombudsman is responsible for investigating maladministration within the institutions, bodies, offices, and agencies of the European Union. MEPs will vote on Parliament’s report at noon.
