Mark Carney’s address to plenary will take place at 11.30 tomorrow.
In a resolution adopted in March 2026, MEPs called for stronger EU-Canada cooperation to address security challenges and boost trade. The two sides already have close economic ties through the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), provisionally in application since 2017, which has reduced tariffs and facilitated trade in goods and services.
Interpretation will be available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Maltese.
You can follow the press conference in person or via the streaming on Parliament’s multimedia centre or on EbS.
