2028-2034 EU budget

Following a debate with Budget Commissioner Piotr Serafin from 9.00, Parliament will vote at noon on its position on the EU’s next long-term budget – the multi-annual financial framework (MFF), including a breakdown of the amounts MEPs want to allocate to each EU funding programme. Parliament will then be ready to start negotiations with the Council on the regulation setting the structure and main figures for the 2028-2034 budget, which requires Parliament’s consent to be approved.

Parliament’s president, Roberta Metsola, and lead MEPs will hold a press conference after the vote at 14.00, in the Daphne Caruana Galizia press conference room (WEISS N -1/201).
