Air passenger rights
Parliament is set to confirm at noon the first update to the air passenger rights regulation since 2004. Parliament’s negotiating team resisted a push to weaken air passengers’ rights when flights are delayed or cancelled, while securing improvements to the rights of disabled passengers and parents travelling with children. A press conference with Andrey Novakov (EPP, BG), rapporteur, and Virginijus Sinkevičius (Greens/EFA, LT), vice-chair of the Committee on Transport and Tourism is scheduled at 14.00.
