MEPs Sabine VERHEYEN (EPP, DE), lead rapporteur, and Ramona Strugariu (Renew, RO), opinion rapporteur for LIBE, will discuss key aspects of the proposals with journalists.

When: Tuesday 3 October, 13.30-14.00 CEST.

Background

In response to growing threats to editorial independence and the industry’s viability, MEPs will adopt their position on a draft law – the European Media Freedom Act – to strengthen the independence of EU media.
